We are pleased to announce that starting from 15th November 2021, our BNM Open API Portal URL has moved from https://api.bnm.gov.my to https://apikijangportal.bnm.gov.my. Please note that there will be no changes to the API request URL which currently consume by users.

The Bank has moved ahead in the first quarter of 2018 to establish Open API Implementation Groups at industry-level for both banking/Islamic banking and insurance/takaful industries, with representation from a few financial technology (fintech) companies.

Open Data API Standards

Financial institutions are encouraged to adhere to the Open Data API Standards in developing Open Data APIs. Financial institutions may also refer to API standards developed by other independent bodies which are in line with the recommended Open Data API Standards.
